Whitney, I love looking at your creations! So so sorry that you experienced the violation of having strangers go through your private things and take your electronics. I am a grandma and feel very protective of you. May angels guard you and your home. Your blogfriend, Kat.
Hi Whitney. I ran across your blog when looking for a tutorial on leather journals. SO SO sorry about your break-in; all I can say to those people is, Karma is a you-know-what! Anyway, we are also medieval fair fans, and I've made several pairs of super-easy men's pants. They are wrap-around pants that tie in the front and back, and even at the bottom of the leg if they're too long. I used the same size for a fully-grown man as I did for my grandson, who is 11 (that's how versatile they are). Here's a pattern and instructions I found that are very similar to what I did: http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-sew-summer-wrap-around-pants/
Good luck! I'm betting your replacements for what was stolen will be even better than what you had.
Whitney, I'm so sorry for your horrible experience this last week. It leaves one with unsettling feelings of violation. Please know that you have many out here in blogland sending you love and support.
I was excited to read about your new audio recording job. I hope you are finding joy in that s well as your creations here and with Pellon.
I'm so sorry. Unfortunately I know how you feel. My car got broken into when I was eating my birthday dinner with my husband and daughter at Famous Dave's. I'll just tell you what someone else told me: You didn't deserve to have this done to you. The person/people that committed the crime were not nice people and will get what's coming to them eventually.
I'm glad Annie's okay! I can't imagine how scary that must have been for her.
I'm Whitney and I have been creating and posting Whitney Sews videos here on youTube for 7+ years. It is my goal to create DIY projects that anyone can make, no matter their skill level. I also love to share haul videos along with some snippets of my life here in Oklahoma with my husband, our two kids, and two dachshunds. We are nerds and we know it so you're likely to see some costumes and hear some dorky references once in a while. I hope you will check out some of my videos and subscribe so you don't miss any in the future.
Happy Sewing!
